The Venue – Weymouth Sailing Club & Weymouth Bay

Located in the heart of the historic harbour, Weymouth Sailing Club is renowned for its hospitality, race management and excellent facilities both on and off the water. The club has a proud tradition of hosting top-level events and offers direct access to one of the best sailing areas on the Weymouth Bay with only a 15-minute sail to the starting line.

The SB20 UK Class is thrilled to bring our fleet to this 2012 UK Olympic sailing venue that continues to serve as a training base for the British Sailing Team. Weymouth Bay is celebrated for its steady Southwesterly breezes, open water and minimal tidal influence - ideal conditions for tight and tactical racing. Great planing conditions for the SB20s!

Following the UK’s triumphant performance at the 2025 SB20 World Championship in Singapore, where John Pollard’s Xcellent claimed the World title and the British fleet secured the Nations Cup, there’s huge momentum behind the class. This National Championship is your chance to test yourself against some of the best teams in the country and experience the atmosphere of the SB20 community.
